Volume of silt accumulating on Patios caused by brooks that cascades down the steep slopes in rear yard presented serious problems.

Dson Industries were one of the companies approached to provide technical assistance and initial on-site advice for a gabion solution option. The design brief needed to take in the building’s immediate
surroundings and at the same time protecting and enhancing biodiversity and the landscape character of the area. These would provide a coherent connection to the architectural design and the practical requirements of the site as a whole.

Following submission of the costs schedule and approval of the budget, Dson Industries were appointed to prepare a detailed design proposal and specification, supply the gabions and accessories and to provide on-site technical advice during the construction phase.

Safe working practices
During the construction , there was some concern over the requirement to work at height in such a confined space due to the very narrow working space;.To get the stone to the required height, it was considered safer to employ a Conveyor-belt to deliver the stone to the installation team .
Time frames
One of the key considerations on any project is keeping to the
schedule. Dson Industries increased the size of the installation team. This meant the work was completed in 3 weeks, as opposed to the original programmed five-week schedule.
